Add A Touch Of Spring With This Instant (And Cheap) DIY

Posted by Dani on March 20, 2013

There has been way too much snow happening around here for the month of March. I think it’s time to start thinking spring. Here’s a quick and easy DIY we posted last year. It’s so easy that it’s practically instant. And it’s cheap. Almost as cheap as the scouring pad Christmas trees we made in December. Have a look:

Nothing makes me happier than finding a deal. Except maybe finding an easy and cute DIY project. This idea scores on both counts. At 30 seconds tops to pull it together, you can add a little spring touch to your front door in no time.

I found these little faux-grass tiles at my local Dollarama. They were too cute to pass up! I thought they’d be great to use for shoes and boots by my front entrance. Dollarama also had these square white plates that fit them perfectly – voilà, instant boot tray! At only $8, this is adorable AND cheap.

This is what the grass tile looked like:

I’ve included a detailed how-to. Get ready – this is highly technical. Here goes:
1. Pick up a grass tile.
2. Put it on the plate.
3. Repeat.

What’s not to love?
