That’s what we’re talking about today. It’s all about boobs here at Lifeovereasy.
We have some exciting news to share with you today. We were beyond thrilled to be selected to participate in #BATTLEPINK, an event for breast cancer awareness month designed to raise funds and awareness for the cause. Rethink is an innovative charity that works nationally with young women affected by breast cancer, and they invited us to create a project using their Precision Tools Pink Tool Kit and participate in a friendly and fun competition with another design personality.
We didn’t hesitate to jump in. First of all, they called us design personalities, which we just loved. Second of all, cancer is big. Epic. It touches us all, and breast cancer in particular speaks to women. Shouts, actually. It hits us where it counts. This was our chance to help. And yours, too – but we’ll explain that at the bottom.
The idea for The Naked Lounge Chair came to us almost instantaneously. We wanted to create something that made a statement, something pink and feminine. Something that got the conversation going. Something that said “breasts”. What could be more perfect than upholstering a chair with a painting of a naked female body?
We found a fabulous chair at Frontier Sales, a chair that we imagined would be perfect for a beautiful naked woman to lounge on. We asked Frontier to sponsor this post – they said yes, and gave us the chair. And it went from there. We stripped, ripped, dipped and stapled our way to creating a functional piece of art. And so the Naked Lounge Chair was born.
A gorgeous naked figure, bathed in Rethink Pink, sits on the chair and reminds us to think about our breasts, talk about our breasts, and get to know our breasts like the back of our hands. Awareness is our biggest weapon. Breasts, bust, boobs, tatas, the girls – this is what we need to be talking about during breast cancer awareness month. And let’s do it with sass and style. Let’s get a little pink.
We have lots more to tell you about. Check back tomorrow where we’ll give you the details of how we went about pulling together this ambitious project. And we’ll tell you about all the people who agreed to help us without hesitation. And we may tell you our story of how breast cancer affected us in a big way, just last week.
But first, we want to tell you how you can help. Visit the #BATTLEPINKsite and vote for our project. One of Rethink’s corporate sponsors, Penguin Books Canada, will donate a dollar for every vote that we receive. This is easy money. Free money. Money that will be used to help women affected by breast cancer. This is how you can make a difference right now. It will be the best minute you spend today. Because we need to tell this disease to shove off. And to keep its hands off the twins.

We would like to thank our sponsor for this project, Frontier Sales. They are a fabulous used furniture shop with over 15,000 square feet of showroom. As long time east enders, we have been shopping there for at least 20 years, and they are our first stop whenever we are looking for something used, vintage, retro, unique or antique. We have found some great pieces there over the years and it is no surprise they had the perfect chair for this project.
