We had a chance to visit the infamous Carnegie Deli, smack in the heart of the big apple. An iconic NYC deli, it has been operating since 1937 and is a perfect late late night destination, open til 4am. Seriously, this place does not serve sandwiches – they serve mountains. At first glance, Carnegie’s menu average $20 – $25 for a sandwich seems a little steep, but this is no sandwich place – this is a meal served between two slices of bread. Actually a meal for two (and then some).
The wall is littered with photos of famous stars from the past few decades, the service is quick and efficient and be for-warned you will give yourself whiplash craning to check out what is on other people’s plates as you try to decide what to order. Yes it’s legendary and you must visit once in a lifetime. Check out the snaps – next time I’ll bring my wide angle lens.
