Last Friday Lifeovereasy dropped in on the launch party for the first Canadian location of CB2, the young and hip sibling of US chain Crate and Barrel. Located at Queen and Bathurst in the former Big Bop, the historic building has been restored in a sensitive renovation. The purple façade is gone, replaced by exposed concrete and brick and 2-storey windows showcasing affordable modern furniture and accessories. We had fun touring the new store and loved their trademark use of neutrals combined with bright hits of colour. Have a look at some of our favourites!
The Julius twin sleeper in this gorgeous bright green colour is an attractive and practical solution for overnight guests.
One thing I love is a really deep sofa – a must-have for someone like me who is always curling up on the couch. CB2 had some great options that offered room to spare for my huge and cuddly pooch! Here’s the Uno Left Arm sofa in a grey/brown linen look weave.
And this is the comfy-looking Piazza sofa in storm grey micro-velvet. Pair it with some bright pillows and accessories to change up the look.
The Avec Pewter sofa has a vintage vibe in a classic looking poly velvet. Attractive and comfortable, what’s not to love?
And here’s a closer look at the enameled metal Lucent nesting tables. These are great in a small space, offering both versatility and style.
Here’s another great table, the classic and modern Smart round marble top coffee table in Carrara-style marble and polished chrome.
How about some witty bedding that invites you to let loose and have some fun? Jump bed linens only come in king and queen sizes, but maybe a creative mom can trim off the sides to make a twin sized set for some lucky child.
Opened to the public on Saturday, pop in for yourself to check out the store and enter their promotion to win a daily $500 shopping card until February 29. Or you can check back here as we showcase more great CB2 finds in the next few days.
