Check Out Reel Asian

Posted by Dani on November 6, 2012

For cinephiles and Asia-lovers, this is the place to be.

Founded in 1997, the Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival has become one of the best alternative film festivals in the city. Over six days starting on November 6, this festival showcases some of the best contemporary films from East and Southeast Asia. They are presenting 60 films and videos from 14 countries including Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kashmir, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand and the United States.

If you’re looking for a change from the typical Hollywood fare, why not check out some of their galas, screenings, workshops, forums, or parties. Not sure what to see? Have a look at their films here. And here are a few stills from some featured movies.
