Here’s a quick and easy little craft you can make for the dad in your life. Perfect for little hands, these photo cufflinks unscrew to let you insert your own personal message. It’s an almost instant craft. Use some cute photos for the sentimental dad, or have your kids draw two tiny pictures. Or you can use some symbolic imagery like I did here.
I started with these photo cuff links from AnnieHowes.com, a great website where I get my resin jewelry crafting supplies. These cufflinks have a nice weight and an attractive silver finish. All you do is unscrew the top, add the photo or artwork, and screw the top back on. Practically effortless! They even come with a clear plastic protective disk to cover your photos, which can be used as a template to cut your photos to the right size.
This is what the photo cufflinks look like.
Here are my 2 images printed on photo paper.
I used the protective cover to draw a cutting line, and cut out my 2 pictures.
I placed the pictures in the top portion of the cufflink, and then screwed them back together to complete the project. That’s it – practically instant personalized cufflinks. Here the “secret” message to the hubby is “You Rock.” Actually, what it really says is “You Rocks, “ but I think he’s good with that!
Here’s another example using photos that have been reduced in Photoshop.
And here’s the finished project. Pretty darn cute!
