fish and chips big enough for 2 at Fish Market
How often do you see those words together?
I am a bona fide fish lover. I could eat fish everyday. Without blinking. Happily.
The one kicker when it comes to fish is that it needs to be fresh and cooked properly. There is no wiggle room here. What that usually means is that it is pretty difficult to find a great plate of fish grub in this city. Reasonable prices? Huge portions? Impossible. Until now.
I had a stroke of blind luck the other day. We went for a stroll on the first sunny warm day of the year and happened by Fish Market in North Toronto. We popped in to sample a few of their specialties. Amazing! That’s their Po Boy Sandwich above. So huge it’s a little hard to eat, delicious, crispy, fluffy and stuffed with an amazing array of vegetables. Awesome. (yes I know I said that already but it’s so accurate).
Check out that personal guarantee by Chef Anthony. How can you argue with that?
Another house specialty, the lobster roll.
Last but not least, this fish burrito is phenomenal. Really, really delicious. I will definitely be back here. Check it out if you have the chance, the fish really rocks here.
