I’m always on the lookout for neat things happening in the city. With four nieces in the family, I have a special radar for kid focused events, so I was very excited to see the Tiff Kids Film Festival launch this week with a new twist.
Formerly known as Sprockets, the festival has evolved into two unique experiences; Tiff Kids will offer content focused on ages 3-13, followed by Tiff Next Wave launching in May with content aimed at teens 14-18. With so much fantastic cinema available at a global level, it’s exciting to see the festival concentrate its offerings to these two age groups.
The line up is fun, impressive and educational, offering something for everyone, parents included. There are also a wide variety of different events, activities and speakers, rounding out the festival with tons of stuff to do. Hosted at the Bell Tiff Lightbox, the festival is also launching digiPlaySpace, a super cool interactive adventure space featuring art installations, games, and film/media production activities. Check it out:
Wow! This is true state-of-the-art fun. Make sure to check out the details at tiff.net/kids and take your kids to enjoy a show and get wowed in digiPlaySpace. For less than the cost of a regular movie, everyone in the family can have a fantastic time.
