Today I wanted to introduce you to the lovely Shauna from Satori Design For Living. She’s an awesomely talented blogger who also runs a design business. Check out her blog, where you’ll find all kinds of inspiring ideas for making your home look and feel its best.
I guest posted for her today, and shared my tutorial for creating THE MOST ADORABLE PUMPKIN! That’s wasn’t very humble, was it? I can’t help myself – it’s currently sitting on my sideboard being so darn cute, making me feel like doing a little pumpkin praising. Very un-Canadian, I know. But I think everyone needs a glittery pumpkin in their life. Here’s another sneak peak:
One of the best things about blogging is making friends with talented and creative people like Shauna, and I hope you’ll visit her and get to know her a little better.
In other news, did you hear the Nobel Prize for Literature went to our very own Alice Munroe, the first Canada-based writer to win it? She is only the 13th woman to win the prize since it was founded in 1901. Exciting news for fans of Canadian lit. So today, we have 2 great things Canadians can brag about – Alice Munroe, and my glittery pumpkin.
And I read another fun thing today. Did you know that Via Rail is offering free tickets to musicians on their cross-Canada routes? What’s more quintessentially Canadian than seeing this vast country by rail, and imagine being able to do that with a live soundtrack. This might be a bucket-list kind of thing to do.
I think I used the word “Canada” or something similar six times in this post. That’s a Lifeovereasy record for sure, eh?
Nads is a marketing whiz, Dani is an engineer, but the blog is where we have our fun. We’re into photography and pottery, making anything and everything, cooking (Nads) and cooking-avoiding (Dani). Creating our lives and our spaces is what inspires us. We’re big on fun and friends and our crazy Italian family. Even our dogs are brothers!
