Holidays are always a little hectic with entertaining, party planning and visits. Wrapping up a ‘little something’ to give is always a nice way to welcome my guests or thank my hostess. Here is a great idea I re-invent year after year. I love the idea of re-packaging to give a simple item a sophisticated and stylish twist. Here, I found some inexpensive glassware at my trusty HomeSense, added some holiday goodies (usually homemade but sometimes bought when time is a challenge), and finished it off with a bit of sparkle using a ribbon or ornament. Always very economical (under $20!), these gifts make a big impact with little effort or planning. I made some homemade cookies, bought some chestnuts, and made some homemade pasta. All look stunning in these Bormioli Rocco (my fav Italian glassware) glass canisters, a steal at $7.99. Add some ribbon and a stylish ornament – here I found some holiday words in stainless steel at Hallmark for $1.99. And presto – gorgeous gifts with a unique and useful twist!
