Looks good huh? Leave it to McEwan’s to one up all the take-out in the city and provide a decadent option for a romantic night in on Valentines Day. I had the pleasure of visiting McEwan Fine Foods for a personal sneak peek of the Valentines Day line-up, available now for pre-order online at www.mcewanfoods.com. The concept is to allow at home diners to experience the high quality gourmet food McEwan is known for in the comfort and intimacy of their own home. You can pre-order a variety of options online or by phone and have the food delivered hot or cold, with instructions, straight to your door. Executive Chef Shenazad Ousmand was gracious enough to explain the concept and give me a first hand look at one of the options and they do not disappoint. Very reasonably priced ($45 – $95 for 2, not incl. delivery) using high quality ingredients and meticulous preparation, this is a great option for a stay at home meal that delivers a full 3 course gourmet restaurant experience. This is definitely not your momma’s take-out.

Main Course: Beef Tenderloin with Truffle Foie Smash and Roasted Root Vegetables
A sauce and vinaigrette are packaged separately to keep the entrees as fresh as possible until you are ready to serve. A red wine pomegranate sauce is provided for the beef entree and a citrus vinaigrette for the appetizer.
Delicious dessert is packaged in its own box.
