With Mother’s Day on my mind, I went back to our picks from last year to have a look. Guess what? These picks still rock so I thought I would share them again to help you start thinking about that perfect something. Have a look…

With Mother’s Day around the corner, I have been keeping my eyes open for some inspiration for the perfect gift for all the Moms in our lives. I would love any of these things at any time (hint hint wink wink to my hubby) but with spring in the air they all feel a little special, quirky and appropriate for any mom. Here are some of my top picks:
Hand Held Nut Cracker by Alessi. Looks beautiful on any table and fits in your pocket too. This piece was inspired by hunters who keep a nutcracker in their pockets while walking through the woods. I love it because it reminds me of my mother who is always grabbing a coupe of walnuts to munch on after dinner.
I LOVE this chair. I would fashion my whole yard around this look, it reads relaxed retro summer boho. Such a happy style.
Personalized milestones necklace by Red Envelope. Visually minimal yet striking, each silver bar can be customized with a birthstone and name or message.
Gold and crystal cuff by Swarovski. Cuffs being all the rage now, this retro style from Swaroksi comes with its own punch of sparkle. Gorgeous!
Adorable butter dish by Jonathan Adler.
Who doesn’t love donuts? Personal home made donuts with the Bella Donut Maker. This one’s for the whole family.
I love the iconic and timeless design of the HBC brand. Coupled with cashmere and flip flops, this makes a great pairing for Mom’s of any age.
I’ve always wanted a lemon tree or orange tree – what a lovely gift.
This beautiful modern fishbowl can be found at the AGO shop – makes me want to go out and get a fish so he can live in style.
We discovered Annie Michaud’s stunning hand blown glassware while we were living in Montreal and fell in love with several of her pieces. This mortar and pestle is both gorgeous and functional.
I love anything by Finnish design house Marimekko. This Pieni Unniko apron makes cooking way more fun (I have it in the pink). in the classic Marimekko designs. You can never have too much Marimekko in your home.
Bergo in the distillery is one of my all time favourite stores in Toronto. I can always find something unique, beautiful and well designed in this Distillery District store. One of my Bergo favorite’s is anything by Danish designer Georg Jensen. I LOVE this daisy pendant, inspired by the national flower of Denmark. Stylish, flirty and fun this gold and enamel pendant is sure to be a hit with Mom.
Last but not least this kitschy cookie canister will make Mom smile everyday.
