Styling Up Your Presents – Welcome Back

Posted by Nads on December 7, 2012

I was looking over some of our posts from last holiday season and thought that there were some great ideas there that were worth sharing again.  Dani is really the super star at this kind of stuff and I generally defer to her as I am a little gift styling challenged.  Taking some available or inexpensive or thoughtful gift items and re-packaging, putting them together, styling them up is a gem of an idea she has used  over and over throughout the years.  Here’s one of my favorites.  Keep this tip in mind as you’re doing your holiday shopping, it may give you a fab gift solution.  Here’s Nuts About Nuts again:

Looking for something to bring next time you’re invited to a dinner party? Check out this easy and inexpensive idea for a hostess gift. Sometimes it’s nice to bring something other than the usual bottle of wine, and we love the idea of being a little traditional this time of year. Here, we used a gorgeous and versatile white glass bowl from HomeSense/Winners (a steal at $12.99!) and filled it with an assortment of nuts. We added a nutcracker as a nice detail, bringing the total cost for this gift to under $25. And your hostess will love that the bowl can be used for so many things after the nuts are gone – food, fruit, or even flowers. Our finishing touch was to wrap it in cellophane using 2 colours of curling ribbon and some ornaments – gorgeous, inexpensive, and easy. This is a perfect addition to our list of low-cost, high-impact ideas to help get you through this holiday season.
