Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!
Did you do a little decorating?
Around here, we keep it pretty simple. Basically I just walk around the house and toss dollar store stuff here and there. It’s pretty quick and easy, and a little random. But I do think it makes things festive.
This is pretty well the same thing I do every year. It’s not particularly “well decorated,” but the kids like it and that’s what counts. Don’t forget, I started this way back before Pinterest was invented. Life was a little simpler back in the old days, and a few hearts tucked here and there were sufficient. In fact, I was pretty impressed with myself that I thought of cutting the kids’ French toast into heart shapes. That was pretty cool back then, way before Martha Stewart was around to make us feel inferior.
Here are a few shots from around the house.

I like to hang things in doorways, especially for the girls.
I always have some surprises for them on the table at Valentines breakfast.
And I always wake them by throwing Valentine confetti at them. Not sure why that started, it’s just what we do. And its kind of fun to find confetti for months afterwards stuck to all kinds of weird places.
I hope you have a great day today with whomever you love!
