huge subway mural
Great weather in NYC this week, perfect for our favorite pastime here – walking around and exploring the city. No matter how many times we get the chance to visit, there is always something new going on around the corner. The other day we ventured out to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. So much cool stuff going on in Brooklyn these days, it really seems like the hub for new energy, ideas and unique creative expression here in the city.
This part of town has been on my bucket list on a couple of recent trips. This vibe is right up my alley – locals artists, foodies, live music. (I’ll post more on the market and Bedford St later this week).
one of the many cool bars
Williamsburg was an amazing breath of fresh air from the heart of the city. Situated on the waterfront it’s jammed with cafes, watering holes, gourmet eateries, street vendors, vintage shops and up and coming restaurants.

We took the subway out and then hopped on the ferry back – such a lovely day. Make sure you add it to your list of things to-do next time you visit, I’d highly recommend it. Check out some more pics:
