I am a big fan of Italian pop music legend Zucchero, and as much as I hate to date myself, have been since high school. As a matter of fact, after so many (uh.. hmmm…) years, I used my fav Zucchero song from high school at my wedding. It was a delightful experience to finally see Zucchero on Saturday in Toronto (thanks for the tix, sis) at Massey Hall, prob my FAV venue for live music in TO.
A Euro mix of Van Morrison and Bob Seger, the legendary Italian artist put on a great show, belting out his classics and singing tunes from his upcoming album Chocobeck (shown above) which includes collaborations with Bono, Iggy Pop and Brian Wilson. I love the intimate feeling at Massey Hall and was moved by the great tunes and nostalgia that went along with them. His music is truly timeless and sounds authentic and amazing live. Check out a video on our Lifeovereasy You Tube channel that I took while he did a cover of “Everyone Has to Learn Sometime”. (thanks iPhone)
