We love to jump in the car and take off on a little outing when we want a break from the city. We are known for taking our share of road trips but there are some weekends we just have too much going on so we are always on the lookout for an escape that’s a little more local.
Our pup demands his outside time, and usually the best we can do is to take him to chase after a ball at the local park. What really makes him crazy happy is to go swimming, fetching a ball until he literally can’t walk anymore. Finding a place to swim in the city is a little rare, and since my sis won’t allow my pup into her pool, we are always looking for an alternate solution. We bumped into some peeps that gave us a little insider tip - Rattray Marsh in Mississauga has a pathway to a fairly deserted rocky beach that is truly off the charts, a little piece of Muskoka just around the corner.
We head out there a couple of times a week, with a coffee and sometimes a snack while Nikko gets his swimming fix. On the hottest summer weekend days, it still remains pretty quiet and is always dog friendly. Awesome but pls don’t tell too many pple.
